Shadow Intervals

Sound Under Pressure

Shadow Intervals: Six Movements for String Quartet moves through a sequence of controlled ruptures and suspended states, where sound behaves like light in low exposure. Lines emerge, collide, and dissolve into a shifting field of tension and release. Each movement isolates a condition, focus, ignition, stillness, collapse, recalibration, but refuses resolution, leaving traces that bleed into what follows. The quartet becomes a pressure system, capable of both fracture and restraint, where texture carries as much weight as gesture. This is music that operates at the edge of form, where structure loosens and what remains is impact, afterimage, and the persistence of shadow.
